About me
Sofia Leon was born and raised in Southern California. Since childhood, she has been inspired by the beauty of cinema and the power of stories.
It was when I turned fifteen that my love for films developed into an immense passion for creating them. As an aspiring filmmaker, I have set my sights on getting a top-notch film education in order to pursue my dream of working on feature films. With a strong passion for storytelling and a keen eye for detail, I hope to one day become a successful director in the film industry.
I am currently a film student and working in freelance short films. I write, direct, and edit nearly all of my material.
I have interned at a nonprofit organization called Musical Theatre West, a company that aims to expose young student to the joys of musical theater. While there, I gained experience by covering events such as dance classes, performance rehearsals, and two large scale gala events.
I also do freelance work with the Whittier College Athletics Department. I have created multiple highlight videos showcasing different teams during their media days.
I am currently a first year film and television production student at Savannah College of Art and Design.
