The Collector
"The Collector" is a two minute opening to a larger film. It centers on a father and a son who own a restaurant together. They are hoping to remodel their restaurant without having sufficient funds. The son turns to the Romanian Mafia for help with a loan. After not paying back the loan, the two are targeted by the mafia and must find a way to get all of the money they owe in a very short time. I wrote, directed, and edited the film. Stylistically, I took inspiration from films like Goodfellas, The Godfather and The Usual Suspects.
For filming I used multiple Canon mirrorless cameras, including an R5 and R6. Along with multiple different Canon L series lenses and Rode microphones as well as scrims for lighting setups.
